In Belarus are preparing additional measures to support businesses COVID-19

The authorities of Belarus to prepare additional measures to support the economy in conditions of negative consequences from the pandemic of the novel coronavirus, said Tuesday the Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas.
The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed on April 24 a decree to support the economy of the country in terms of the pandemic of the novel coronavirus. The decree provides for measures of support of subjects of managing individual sectors of the economy most vulnerable to the adverse effects of the pandemic.
«the Main thing is to preserve the efficiency of the enterprises. Where it gets really bad, if there is sufficient amount taken on the ground measures (protection from the spread of COVID-19) the government will provide all possible assistance to preserve labor groups and established economic ties», — Rumas said during a meeting of the Council of Ministers. He also reported that the head of state agreed with the proposal to increase to 1.2 billion Belarusian rubles (about 492 million dollars) limit the issuance of guarantees of the government and local authorities to support enterprises. «This tool should be very properly dispose», — said Rumas.
According to him, established a working group will analyze the most affected enterprises and taking into account the taken by the organizations of anti-crisis measures will determine the measures of support similar work in a short time needs to host regions. «I also asked banks to actively join this work. The timely restructuring of debt, reduction of tariffs and interest rates on the operations — this is the minimum that needs to be solved in the current situation, so that enterprises could endure temporary financial problems», — said the head of government.
